These 6 shots are taken a month ago of me and some of my mates from home and hawaii at a sneaky reff up the central coast, i love going up there and scoring. 1st shot tom dosland, 2nd sage hulls, 3rd shot lucas boo street, 4th jesse polock, 5th me and 6th me.

The day at mavericks sion died.

Sion on possibly the biggest wave ever paddled in to with hands no jet ski assistance.

I HAD SOME GREAT TIMES WITH SION HE WAS A GREAT GUY AND I WILL MISS HIM, I CAN SAFELY SAY HE WAS ON OF THE BEST 5 BIG WAVE PADDLE SURFERS IN THE WORLD. IT WAS ALWAYS SCARY SURFING WITH HIM AS YOU KNEW HOW HARD HE GOING WHICH IN ITS SELF PUSHED YOU. YOU WERE A MANS MAN SION YOU WERE EVERYTHING WE ALL WISH WE COULD BE. MISS YA BUDDY YOUR MATE KOBY ABBERTON.

An amazing 2 day surf trip i did with joel parkinson and mick fanning.

I follow the NRL closer than i do surfing. Id trade careers with a footy player any day. Unfortunately im built like a pretzel and any chance of me becoming a footy player ended when i was about 15 after the 100th time getting knocked out trying to tackle kids that had arms bigger than my legs! Johnny Sutton on the other hand is the opposite. I think he would give anything to trade spots with a professional surfer. The thing is he’s actually a natural. In the small amounts of time he actually has off from training hes always out in the water. Ive actually seen him land Air’s before. Its a pretty strange site seeing a 110kg football player flying through the air on a surfboard! I couldn’t believe it though when i saw Sut paddling into the line up this day. This wave would scare the sh*&T out of any top professional surfer. I even know a few that wouldn’t dare come out. This day was particularly heavy because of the direction of the swell. When its like this if you fall you get pushed straight into the rocks and your stuck there until there is a gap in the swell. But the feeling of making one of these waves makes the risk worthwhile! Sutto paddled up and said im just gonna watch it for a while. But the more you watch the more scared you get. So i called the ski over straight away and threw Sut the rope. As soon as he grabbed it a bomb set came through. I kind of started to panic i thought i was going to be the one responsible for ended any chance of a Bunnies premiership. The Ski took off and trailed in on a big lump of water all of us in the line up were like “oh no this ones to big he wont make this” The ski sped up and slung him into the wave he flew passed us looking like he had seen a ghost. You see when your at the top of one of these waves and your looking down you get a perfect view of just how shallow the water below the wave is. You can actually see the razor sharp Barnacles on the reef below. It felt like time was in slow motion, we all swung around looking back to see what happened the wave exploded on the reef and all of us sat there paralysed with our mouths open waiting to see what would come of Sutto and the bunnies season. Then we see this big unit come flying of the back of the wave with a huge grin on his face. We all started screaming and high five’n each other. There aren’t many surfers that can say they have ridden a wave like that let alone professional NRL players! If your a surfer and you don’t have a favourite team or heaven forbid you go for the roosters AND ONE MORE THING SUTTO AND SOUTHS ARE SPONSORED BY MY BROTHERS KEEPER.
